Where does a beautiful winter wedding start? With Marie-France and Joel, of course. We recently had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of these two lovebirds in Cornwall, Ontario!
The day kicked off with the girls primping and priming themselves at the hair salon for what was sure to be a chilly, yet enjoyable day. Once we snapped some photos of Marie-France and her ladies looking stunning in their hair and make-up, we ventured over to the bride’s house where we were lucky enough to snag some great pictures of the rings, shoes, and of course the bride and her family getting ready for the big day.
Meanwhile, Joel and the groomsmen were excitedly waiting at the Nav Centre preparing for one of the biggest days of Joel’s life.
Next, it was onward to St. John’s Church on Second Street. The ceremony included a pastor and a judge – which was nice to see and catch on camera for the happy couple. The beautifully lit ceremony included some musicians and tear jerking vows. They definitely had us choking up!
With about an hour to spare, we had the pleasure of venturing to some abandoned train tracks which we thought were perfect for some photos of the newlyweds. Good find Marie-France and Joel! In hopes of keeping everyone’s spirits up due to the chilly winter weather, we popped a bottle of champagne and took some memorable photos. Even though it was below zero temperature, everybody had an amazing time together celebrating the bride and groom’s love for one another.
After the outdoor photos, it was off to the dinner and reception. After speeches and toasts were made, it was time for some dancing – and our personal favourite part of any wedding reception – the photo booth! There were tons of hilarious, frame-worthy and downright cute photos taken of couples, friends and family during the photo booth. What a great time!
We can confidently say that it was a gorgeous wedding and we were thrilled to have been a part of it. We can’t thank Marie-France and Joel enough for allowing us to be part of their big, special day! We wish them nothing but happiness, health and love in the future!
