Well folks, summer is coming to an end. What this unfortunately means for us is that so is wedding season. We’ve had such an amazing time this summer shooting the weddings of some great couples. Luckily for us, the wedding season ended with a bang thanks to Sarah and Ryan of Ottawa, Ontario! This couple was full of energy and just an overall blast to photograph due to their obvious affection towards each other, topped off with the fact that they are both lively and animated individuals.
Sarah and Ryan chose their Stonefields wedding as the location for their wedding ceremony and reception. Once we saw the grounds for this stunning venue, we were in absolute awe of the beauty and extremely excited to be taking wedding photographs at such a gorgeous location. The backdrops and setting possibilities were endless! Needless to say, we were in a photographer’s heaven.
As Sarah and the ladies (and her Man of Honour – how cool and original is that!?) put on their dresses and excitedly fluttered around one of the cabins at Stonefields, Ryan and his groomsmen were preparing for this couples big moment at another cabin just across from the ladies. The ceremony that followed right after was both lovely, classic and country chic. The rain held up too! It tried to pour on us but was quickly replaced with a warm, inviting sun – very apropos.
Once the ceremony wrapped up, we stole the bride and groom as well as their families and bridal party for some photos. Like we mentioned earlier, it took all of mere seconds to find perfect backdrops for these photos – in a rustic barn, in front of the beautifully aged cabins, and along a tree-lined path.
The reception was complete with plenty of ambient lighting and beautifully decorated tables. However, nothing compared that night to the hilarity of the Photo Booth after the dinner and speeches were completed. The newly married couple and their friends and family loved posing with a wide array of silly props, including the classic moustache on a stick. Photo Booth pictures end up being Facebook profile photos for days! Just a little random fact of the day in case you wondering.
On behalf of Develop Negative, we want to congratulate Sarah and Ryan on their marriage! You two were an absolute delight to shoot and we wish you all the best!
